“Which areas do you service?”

Better Building Inspections service the Newcastle Region and beyond.

We venture as far North as Port Stephens and Taree, West to Singleton, and South to the Central Coast.

If you require an inspection outside of the areas listed above, please make an enquiry as we often make trips outside of the areas specified.

“Do you arrange access to the property?”

Yes.
Following receipt of your authority/agreement to proceed, our dedicated office team will arrange access with the real estate and/or vendors and tenants.

“How long does an inspection take?”

Depending on the type and size of the property, the on-site inspection normally takes approx. 1 hour.
Inspection duration will vary depending on the ease of access to areas such as sub floor and roof space.

“How is payment made?”

Payments are normally made via direct deposit however we also accept cash or cheque.
Payment details are found on Page 2 of our building and pest agreements using your surname as a reference for payment.

“Can I speak to the inspector after the inspection?”

Yes. Our inspector will contact you following completion of the inspection to inform you of any significant issues relating to the building and discuss any discuss any areas you may require explanation. We pride ourselves on excellent follow up inspection customer service.
If you are not available our inspector will leave a message for you to contact him when suitable.

“When and how will I receive a copy of the report?”

Better Building Inspections will endeavour to get your report to you as quickly as possible. The reports are generally issued the very next business day following inspection.
Once Authority/Agreements and Receipt of Transfer of payment is received; reports are sent out the following business day to your e-mail address.

“Is BBI insured?”

Yes.
Better Building Inspections has policies for both Public Liability and Professional Indemnity with an industry based insurer, giving you peace of mind.

“What experience does your inspector have?”

Grant has been a fully licensed builder for over 35 years and has vast experience & knowledge gained through many years in the building industry to assist you with your buying decision.

“Do you have office staff that I can contact?”

Yes.

“Do you do pest and building inspections at the same time?”

Yes.
Only one inspection needs to be arranged and this will be combined building and timber pest inspection which saves both money, time and less inconvenience for vendor or tenant.
